Ohad Naharin, who grew up in the Israeli Kibbutz Misra, is celebrated worldwide as one of the most outstanding contemporary choreographers. With his unusual artistic vision and captivating choreographies, he has helped the Batsheva Dance Company to achieve international fame. As Artistic Director of the Israeli ensemble, Mr Naharin developed a completely new movement language: »Gaga«. This breaks through familiar movement structures; »Gaga« seeks interaction between the participants, who work together to create a movement space of freedom and comfort. For Mr Naharin, it is about passion, bursting power, extremes, the pleasure of the moment and breaking boundaries.
