This Soirée with Semperoper soloists under the baton of Johannes Wulff-Woesten recalls the many accomplishments of the Dresden composer, pianist and conductor Paul Aron (1886-1955) and his circle. In his concert series »New Music Paul Aron«, which ran from 1921-30, local audiences enjoyed more than 200 works by contemporary composers. Then, in 1933, Aron was forced into exile. As previously with »A Tiny Tear«, musicologist Dr. Agata Schindler will expertly guide the audience through the programme, thereby shedding light on a forgotten chapter of Dresden’s rich musical history.
