Dorothée Gilbert

Dorothée Gilbert has been Étoile at the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris since November 2007. Trained at Toulouse Conservatory, she was engaged by Paris Opera in the Corps de ballet at the age of 17. In 2003 she became a Coryphée and since 2006 has been a principal dancer with the ensemble.   Her repertoire includes Manon in »La Dame aux camélias« (Neumeier), Tatiana in »Onegin« (Cranko), Gamzatti and Nikiya in »La Bayadère«, Henriette and Raymonda in »Raymonda«, Odette/Odile in »Swan Lake«, Juliet in »Romeo and Juliet« (Nureyev), Swanhilda in »Coppélia« (Bart), as well as works by Balanchine, Kylián, Neumeier, Ratmansky, Robbins and Petit. Dorothée Gilbert numerous awards includes the AROP Dance Price and the Cercle Carpeaux Prize.
