Stefanie Knorr

Soloist (Guest)

The soprano Stefanie Knorr first completed her studies in school music and mathematics with a teaching degree in Freiburg. She studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik Basel with Marcel Boone. In 2019, she won several prizes, including a study prize at the Migros-Kulturprozent singing competition in Zurich and a sponsorship prize at the Paula Salomon Lindberg competition »Das Lied« in Berlin. While still a student, she made her debut at Theater Basel in 2016 in a children's opera. Subsequently, she performed there, among others, as Bubikopf  (»The Emperor of Atlantis«) and as the Eldest Sea Sister (»Andersen's Tales«). In the season 2020/21, Stefanie Knorr was a member of the opera studio OperAvenir. This was followed by several months as a member of the ensemble at Theater Basel, where she sang the roles of Papagena ("Die Zauberflöte") and Minerva ("Il ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria"), among others. In Dresden, she will be performing for the first time as Solveig in "Peer Gynt" by Johan Inger.
