Ballet
The lyric soprano Sol Her first attended the Kaywon Music School and then began her vocal studies at Yonsei University in her hometown of Seoul. From 2017 to 2021, she continued her studies at the Carl Maria von Weber Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Professor Edward Randall, where she graduated with a master class exam and a master's degree in opera singing. Master classes with KS Georg Zeppenfeld rounded off her education.
At the 9th Ensemble Competition of the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden, the ensemble to which she belonged was awarded the eco - Musikförderpreis of BASF Schwarzheide. She was also a finalist at the 38th
International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition 2019 in Villach/Austria and at the 12th International Singing Competition IMMLING. In 2021, she won the WDRFunkhausorchester Orchestra Prize and the Audience Prize at the Cologne International Music Competition.
She was heard in the role of Mimi in La Bohème in a production of Yonsei University in Seoul as well as Ottavia in Claudio Monteverdi's The Coronation of Poppea and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Hochschule für Musik, Dresden in 2018. In 2021 she also took on the title role in George Frideric Handel's opera Alcina there. She also performed in the concert series Lied in Dresden.
In the 2018/19 season, Sol Her made her debut at the Halle Opera House as Echo in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, which she also sang there in the 2019/2020 season. She will also appear in the same role for the first time in the 2021/2022 season at the Theatre Plauen-Zwickau in the 2021/2022 season. In June 2022 she will sing at the Semperoper as a solo and chorus singer for the ballet production of Peer Gynt and Die Nase as a eunuch.
