Shahar Binyamini is an internationally recognized choreographer, dancer, and director whose work explores the intersection of dance, science, and design.

A former member of Batsheva Dance Company (2006–2013), he worked with choreographers such as Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal. Since 2016, his choreographic work has been presented internationally and commissioned by leading companies, including the Paris Opera Ballet, Gothenburg Dance Company, Ballet BC, Opera Ballet Flanders, Bordeaux National Ballet, Gauthier Dance Company, Norrdans, Ballet du Rhin, and São Paulo Dance Company. His work has also appeared at major venues such as Lincoln Center, Teatro alla Scala, and Teatro Colón.

In 2022, Binyamini was commissioned to create a work for the opening of Shanghai Fashion Week. He has also collaborated across disciplines, including as choreographer for SZA’s “SNOOZE” music video.

In 2013, he co-founded TNUDA with Prof. Atan Gross of the Weizmann Institute for Science, a research group exploring connections between scientific principles, choreography, and movement. The initiative later developed into a research course at the Weizmann Institute.

Binyamini has also worked in academia as a guest professor at UCLA, where he created LUNG for the opera and dance department. In 2021, he received the Israeli Minister of Culture Award for Promising Choreographer.

Through his work in dance, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, Binyamini continues to develop a distinctive approach to contemporary performance.
