After graduating from the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, Joëlle Auspert joined the Royal Ballet of Flanders. As a soloist of this company, she danced a large number of ballets from choreographers such as Marcia Haydée, George Balanchine, Jean-Christophe Maillot, Nicolo Fonte, William Forsythe, Jan Fabre, Jiří Kylián, Jorma Elo, Christian Spuck, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

After a dance career of 23 years, Auspert completed her Masters in Dance Pedagogy in 2018. She subsequently continued her journey at the Royal Ballet of Flanders as a rehearsal director. In this function, she has worked on pieces by Akram Khan, Martha Graham, Alexander Ekman, Benjamin Millepied, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Andonis Foniadakis, William Forsythe, Pina Bausch, Crystal Pite, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, and Marcos Morau.
