Opera repertoire in 2024/25

The upcoming season sees the return of repertoire pieces to the Semperoper’s programme, several of which have not been performed in Dresden for many years, such as Beethoven’s Fidelio, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Puccini’s Turandot and Madama Butterfly, Richard Strauss’s Salome, Verdi’s Otello and Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman and Lohengrin. Staged by celebrated directors such as Florentine Klepper, Michael Schulz, Katharina Thalbach, Axel Köhler, Amon Miyamoto, Dietrich W. Hilsdorf, Vincent Boussard and Christine Mielitz, the productions will feature many internationally acclaimed artists as well as beloved members of the Semperoper ensemble.
