Extras 2024/25

Alongside our extensive programme of operas and ballets, there are numerous extras to discover in the 2024/25 season. At the opening of the season, Artistic Director Nora Schmid will take you on a musical stroll through the upcoming highlights. Get a tantalising glimpse of the new programme at Stell dir vor (Sat, 14 Sept 2024). On 15 Sept 2024 you can enjoy Hereinspaziert, when the Semperoper and our various scenery and costume workshops invite you to an operatic open-door day. Visitors to Ich pfeif’ auf die Oper will enjoy a virtuoso artistic experience of a unique kind: director, puppeteer and concert whistler Nikolaus Habjan will whistle opera’s greatest hits with piano accompaniment. Our series of Semper matinées and soirées is dedicated to the love lives and relationships of a special group of artists. Also look forward to the 40th anniversary of the opening of the rebuilt Semperoper and get ready for our Advent concerts in the run-up to Christmas. In the Semper Bar there is much to enjoy: director Axel Ranisch will wax lyrical about the world of opera; temporarily throwing away his baton, conductor Patrick Hahn will take to the piano; Aaron Pegram will perform his favourite songs while Ragna Schirmer, together with Matthias Daneck and Axel Ranisch, will present the music and poetry of the GDR. The popular series Fenster aus Jazz (A Window on Jazz) will offer an entirely different sonic experience. And the programme is rounded off by song recitals featuring Marlis Petersen and Christa Mayer together with members of our Junges Ensemble.
