Sarah McCrorie

Sarah McCrorie is a contemporary dancer, rehearsal director, and educator based in Naarm (Melbourne), working across independent performance, large-scale works, and international touring. Her dance journey began at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, where she cultivated a deep commitment to contemporary dance. Following her graduation in 2015, completed the Transit International Professional Pathway (Tr.IPP) at Transit Dance in 2018.

As a performer, Sarah has contributed to a range of compelling works including Colossus (2018) by Stephanie Lake Company, A Study of Being (2019) and Hysterics (2023) by Kayla Douglas, Hard-Cover Ctrl (2022) by Victor Rottier, and was the project understudy for Alice Topp’s Project Animo (2021). She has also been deeply involved in the development of new choreographic works such as Kinesthetic Gestalt by Cass Mortimer Eipper and Egotist by Isaac Carol. Currently, Sarah is collaborating on What Lurks on the Edge by Lina Limosani, set to premiere in 2026.

Since 2019, Sarah has worked as Rehearsal Director for Colossus by Stephanie Lake Company. Across multiple international seasons, her involvement has seen her collaborate with over 800 dancers, nurturing her deep passion for teaching and leading creative spaces. Sarah has directed rehearsals for Colossus across a range of prestigious festivals and venues, including the Sydney Festival (2020), Théâtre National de Chaillot, Paris (2021), Taiwan International Arts Festival (2021), Hong Kong Arts Festival (2022), Antigel Festival, Geneva (2023), Danse Danse, Montréal (2023), TO Live, Toronto (2023), and Brisbane Powerhouse (2024).
