We are back from our summer break and would like to welcome you to the 2025/26 season.
We are eagerly anticipating the start of the new season, which will begin spectacularly on 28 August with Georg Friedrich Handel's impressive oratorio Saul. Principal conductor of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Daniele Gatti will continue his Gustav Mahler cycle with the 5th, 6th and 7th symphonies and at the same time conduct two new opera productions for the first time: Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff and Richard Wagner's Parsifal.
Many of you secured tickets for our diverse programme early on when they went on sale.
For those who are more spontaneous, we highly recommend Charles Gounod's heart-rending love story Roméo et Juliette in November, as well as Marie-Ève Signeyroles' visually stunning production of Turandot with Camilla Nylund in the title role.
