Anke Vondung studied voice at Mannheim’s College of Music and was a prizewinning participant in several international singing competitions. Her first engagement was with the Tyrol Landestheater in Innsbruck. Subsequently she has performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, the Salzburg Festival, the Salzburg Mozart Week, the Glyndebourne Festival, the State Opera Houses of Hamburg, Berlin and Munich as well as at New York’s Metropolitan Opera. A company member of the Semper Opera from 2003 to 2006, she remains closely linked to the opera house.
