Dirigent Leonardo Sini steht zum ersten Mal am Pult der Staatskapelle Dresden. Für ihn ist es eine Herausforderung, bei einer so bekannten Oper wie »La traviata« den eigenen Weg in die Musik zu finden. Ein wichtiger Teil seiner »eigenen« traviata ist es, Violettas Arie »Addio del passato« in voller Länge auf die Bühne zu bringen, ohne die sonst übliche Streichung der zweiten Strophe.
