Premiere of »The Magic Flute« with modified seating plan

Dresden, 29 October 2020. Due to current events, the premiere of the new production of »The Magic Flute«, staged by Josef E. Köpplinger in accordance with current rules on hygiene and social distancing, will be performed in a slightly shortened version without intermission for a maximum of 331 guests. Unfortunately, the returning production of »Schneewitte«, part of our Junge Szene programme scheduled for 1 November 2020 in Semper Zwei, is now cancelled.

With Katerina von Bennigsen, Nikola Hillebrand, Roxana Incontrera, Christa Mayer, Stepanka Pucalkova, Tuuli Takala, Simeon Esper, Matthias Henneberg, Mateusz Hoedt, Gerald Hupach, Sebastian Kohlhepp, Markus Marquardt, Jürgen Müller, René Pape and Sebastian Wartig.

The State Opera Chorus are joined by choristers of the Tölzer Knabenchor.
The Staatskapelle Dresden will be conducted by Omer Meir Wellber.
