Getting to Dresden: By bus, train or plane
The Semperoper is centrally located in the historic Altstadt district.

By tour bus
The Theaterplatz allows stops only for guests getting in and out of passenger cars. The nearest bus parking spaces are located at, for example, the Zwingerteich (Z), the Carolabücke (C) and Pieschener Allee (S) below Marienbrücke.
By public transport - tram, bus
The Semper Opera House is located directly on the Theaterplatz where a tram station of the same name is located; it is also easily reached from Postplatz at only a few minutes’ walk.
Tramline 8 (direction Hellerau) from the main station in Dresden or tramline 9 (direction Kaditz) from the train station North take you directly to the Theaterplatz.
Due to constructions works on the bridge »Augustusbrücke«, the stop Theaterplatz cannot be served by the trams until presumably autumn 2018. Please use tramline 11 (direction Bühlau) from Hauptbahnhof Nord to Postplatz.
Tramline 11 (direction Zschertnitz) from the train station Dresden-Neustadt takes you to Postplatz.
Tramlines 1, 2, 4, 12 also stop at Postplatz as well as the bus lines 62 and 94.

The Semper Opera House is located approx. 8 kilometers from Dresden Airport. Depending on the time of day, the journey by taxi takes 15 to 30 minutes and costs around 20 euros.
