Gareth Haw

British born dancer Gareth Haw is currently employed as a First Soloist with the English National Ballet. Having studied at The Royal Ballet School between 2007 and 2015, he joined Semperoper Ballett Dresden, Germany, under Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin. Only two years later, he was promoted from a Corps de ballet member to a Coryphée. In 2020, he was appointed a Second Soloist and advanced to a First Soloist in 2022. During this period, Mr Haw was quickly relied upon by top ballerinas for his exquisite partnering skills and beauty of lines. He danced leading roles in »Swan Lake«, »La Bayadère« and »The Sleeping Beauty« (Aaron S. Watkin), »The Nutcracker« (Aaron S. Watkin, Jason Beechey) and »Giselle« (David Dawson). His repertoire also embraces creations by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Martha Graham, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Johan Inger, Pina Bausch, Sir Frederick Ashton, Justin Peck, Jiří Kylián and Alexander Ekman. He also appeared as Paris and part of the Winter Couple in the Dresden world premières of David Dawson's »Romeo and Juliet« and »The Four Seasons«. In the 2023/24 season, Gareth Haw is returning to Dresden as a guest soloist in »The Sleeping Beauty«. (Stand: 2024)
