Gala El Hadidi wurde mit 18 Jahren Ensemblemitglied der Oper Kairo und absolvierte Studien in Philosophie (B.A.), Englisch sowie Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaften (M.A.), außerdem legte sie einen Abschluss als Master of Music (M.M.) an der Yale School of Music ab. Ein Stipendium führte sie an die Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart. 2010 gewann sie den Föderpreis der Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Zu ihrem Repertoire zählen Partien wie Carmen, Suzuki in »Madama Butterfly«, Cherubino in »Le nozze di Figaro« und Prinz Orlofsky in »Die Fledermaus«, die sie auf internationalen Opern- und Festivalbühnen interpretiert. Seit 2010/11 gehört sie zum Jungen Ensemble der Semperoper.
