Christopher Tiesi steht kurz vor dem Abschluss seines Opernmusikstudiums am Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, wo er als Tom Rakewell (»The rake’s progress«), Elvino (»La sonnambula«), Florville (»Il Signor Bruschino«) und Tebaldo (»I Capuleti e I Montecchi«) zu erleben war. Zuvor war der Tenor regelmäßig zu Gast beim Sommerfestival der Chautauqua Institution und sang dort die Partien Rodolfo (»La bohème«), Rinuccio (»Gianni Schicchi«) und zuletzt Nemorino (»L’elisir d’amore«) unter der Leitung von Sir Richard Bonynge. Letzteren gibt er in seinem Hausdebüt an der Semperoper 2012. Geplant sind Auftritte als Electrician in Thomas Adès’ Kammeroper »Powder her Face« mit der Opera Company Philadelphia und als Nemorino in der Tour-Produktion von »L’elisir d’amore« für das Glyndebourne Festival 2013.
