A company member of Saxon State Opera Dresden, Ute Selbig has proved herself a truly outstanding soloist over many years. She has thrilled audiences and critics alike as Agathe (»Der Freischütz«), Micaëla (»Carmen«) or Zdenka (»Arabella«) as well as in the great Mozart roles. The soprano was the first recipient of the Christel Goltz Prize. On the international stage she is in great demand as a concert and opera singer, with highly successful appearances under such great conductors as Giuseppe Sinopoli, Sir Colin Davis, Franz Welser-Möst and Daniel Barenboim.
